Student and faculty perspectives on excellence in ICT and e-learning use in college
This study called Student and faculty perspectives on excellence in ICT and e-learning use in college is funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Société et culture (FRQSC) and is carried out by Dawson College, McGill University, Université de Montréal and Cégep André-Laurendeau researchers.
Our team explored best pedagogical practices in the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and e-learning by Cegep instructors in class-based, in online and in hybrid courses, allowing us to gather information concerning “best pedagogical practices” in using ICTs. We ascertained the ideal pedagogical conditions for ICT integration in the classroom and in online environments, the impact of student use of different ICTs on instructors’ pedagogical practices, and the effect of instructors’ ICT and e-learning use on students’ motivation and engagement.
